The NMSS  Naples Living Well With MS Group meets on the Third Thursday of each month.

Meeting time is 4 to 5:30 pm

 

 

Meetings are held at Naples Community Hospital

Telford Education Building

Second Floor 

Sept 18th - Auditorium Extension

October 16th - Classroom 4

November 20th, 2008 - Classroom 3

 

The group does not meet in July, August or December.

The Wellness Program is provided FREE of charge for people with MS.

Commissioner Mario Valle, who serves on the Florida State Human Relations Commission.

Linda Hartman - shown above at an NMSS fundraiser at The Ace Classic Golf Tournament - made the news again this week - and once again for her service to her community.  Linda, a member of the Naples MS Walk Committee for several years, is also President of the Home Owners Association of Golden Gate Estates.  The HOAGGE recently raised some $23,000 for people who lost their homes to a fire in the Estates.  Click here to read the story in the Collier Citizen.

Left Behind
for Lee and Collier Residents,
The "No Person Left Behind" program
has been established to provide the local EOC's, Police
and Fire & Rescue with the numbers, types, needs and locations of people
with disabilities prior, during and after a hurricane or disaster. This program
has been created under HIPPA guidelines and information is strictly confer
dential. A phone call notification system allows the
registered personto be advised of an impending hurricane and
will receive a call  after to check on the individual’s status.
This program does not supersedethe local EOC's "Special needs
Programs", rather enhances it when used in conjunction. If you requirespecial needs at a shelter, please also register with your local EOC.

NMSS Loan Closet Program
 
The Loan Closet is a service  which loans equipment ranging from scooters to canes to people with MS.  The South Florida Chapter has four loan closets.  In SW Florida's Lee and Collier counties, the loan closet service has is provided by medical equipment company SCOOTERS PLUS They are located at 3083 Cleveland Ave in Fort Myers . SCOOTERS PLUS donates their time, space and effort to assist the South Florida Chapter in providing this service to people with MS.  Click on the button below to submit a request for an equipment loan and  to visit the SCOOTERS PLUS website.
